Being a huge fan of RPG’s (Role Playing Games), I thought it was about time to play Oblivion. Some RPG’s are fantastic no matter how “new” they are. Fable 1 is a prime example. It is fantastic. The storyline, characters, weapons, battles…all epic. So, it is with high hopes that Oblivion will provide the same appeal. I started it a few times, but didn’t have the time to invest in it, and I forgot the controls and missions. So this time, I am dedicating a huge amount of energy to this game because I loved what I played before and I want to get absorbed into the life of a game for a bit.

The game starts off with a bit of the history, and then character development. My characters name is “Midnite Faery” naturally 😉 …and I suppose she can be a girl.

There are 10 difference races to select from.

The Imperial race is “natives of the civilized, cosmopolitan province of Cyrodiil, they have proved to be shrewd diplomats and traders. They are skilled with heavy armor and in the social skills and tend to favor the warrior classes”. Basically, a human looking character.

The Khajiit race is “hailing from the province of Elsweyr, they are intelligent, quick, and agile. They make excellent thieves due to their natural agility and unmatched acrobatics skill. All Khajiit can see in the dark”. This one looks like a cat. Uhm, no thanks… I like humanish or magical people.

…there are a bunch more, but I decided to pick a Breton because they have a “quick and perceptive grasp of spellcraft” they can also “boast a resistance to magical energies. They are particularly skilled at summoning and healing magic”. Sounds about right for me! Although she is a tad ugly and plain looking. I will see if a little make-up and hairstyling can turn her into something beautiful.

Woo. Great success! She is beautiful 🙂

So… I’ve decided to log my travels through the world of the Oblivion and I hope you will find it amusing to read. Plus, pictures are always nice.
