I tried the demo of Limbo months ago and thought it was rubbish. I was looking for something flashy with immediate gratification. Basically, I didn’t have patience for a game that required any sort of thought.

However, now I have the time, patience, and desire to slowly progress through the epic puzzles.

Limbo is very basic in the sense that’s it’s black and white with a mellow soundtrack in the background. BUT so complex that you have to use all the elements around you to figure out how to progress through the game.

The way your character dies can be rather entertaining, shocking, and often annoying. When I died I was able to see what I needed to do to go further. This could be a huge turn off for some people but the reload time is quick and you don’t go back very far in the game.

The following video clip shows one puzzle and a lot of deaths! It’s about midway through the game so nothing you’d see in the demo. I recorded it as I was playing it for the first time.

If you don’t want to ruin a puzzle experience, don’t watch me suffer through 😉
